incorporating therapist concerns

Therapists can also become distracted by thought about what to say, is the session going OK, am I saying enough or too much, am I confident enough?

By accepting the possibility of these concerns, and incorporating them as an acceptable part OF the experience, the therapist can allow their focus to be on the client's experience also.

I am through this introduction now and I must say that I am a slow learner. I think I will go  through the material again and at the same time I try to take the elements into sessions. So then I be ready to leave some comments how things were. I am inspired and happy to be able to learn this and take it to clients. Thank you.

Hey Asta I have played it back 3times this morning  and will re visit again and again.  My favourite piece is the final piece when Rob describes 'to the client that  the utmost pleasure and satisfaction  they will receive when they realise their own self discovery.'   For me it is very moving.  I look forward to playing with these words. Thanks Rob

Therapy can encourage dependency! This approach is the opposite as it enxcourage self discovery of latent potential and empowerment! thank you Rob for sharing with us... this strengthens my motivation in using this gentle approach!

Many thanks, Rob, I learned a lot from this introduction and I will undertake some formal or other training to become more competent using hypnosis in my psychotherapy practice. Cheers Brian

I love the way you teach us not only how to help the client but if we really listen we are helping ourselves at the same time. Thank you
