hypnosis as a mood

We can take the lead by putting ourselves into a focused absorbed state and let the client catch our mood. This can be something to play with in silence, or in addition to anything else we are doing.

Creating expectancy is one of the most useful starting points in any therapy since all problems bring a mood of resignation [or no possibilities] with them. Clients will hardly say that they have a problem and expect that at any moment it will resolve itself.

If we create a focused absorbed mood of expectancy, it can be so helpful for a client to catch some of our mood and also helps to protect ourselves from catching a client's mood of resignation.

Everyone benefits.

Have a listen to the audio, have a play, and leave a comment for us all to share.

Hello Rob, I guess expectancy is also a motivator... a form of self suggestion ;-) In therapy I always ask patients about their expectancy... this often leads to identifying their own solutions.. it is about believing in our self...our own inner strength and resources. Thank you for sharing your wisdom..

Hello Catherine, for me, expectancy is the door that leads to possibilities and solutions. Without expectancy we are doomed to be stuck in  resignation - called a problem.

Hi ... I'm glad that revisiting the course is helpful. I find that each time I offer this, there is new experiences, new learnings, new possibilities. I'm sorry, but I stopped face to face sessions years ago, so a session within the zoom calls might be an option ...

Aloha Rob;

I just got a client with eczema referred to me. Everything I do is the
first time and I appreciate any tips.

Also, I got in touch with Lynne Johnson and he kindly sent me a copy of his
book on happiness and sent you his regards.

We have no class tomorrow but will see you at next session.

Stay well
Jerry

Aloha Jerry;

My tip is to remember that you're not dealing with eczema - you are having a conversation with a unique human being where you explore, together, what's missing ... and then help to find and connect that resource.

Lyn Johnson is a humble and generous man. Thanks for passing on his regards.

Have fun ...

Rob
